Ramazan Barlas (NL, 1988)
The esoteric timbre that Ramazan creates in his images forces us in an extensive discovery of his dim universes. The wonderful deformation of size, material and structure question our position vis-a-vis our own relationship to the scale of the subject and the scale of ourselves. The crystalline and abstract geometry of his work breaks away from the image itself, but is also not part of our physical reality. This "in between reality" reveals the actual theme of the work. It is irrelevant in what scale or in what dimension you experience this work (extensive experiences), it is about how and with what intensity you undergo these phenomena (intensive experiences).
