Roy Kahmann

In 1995, art collector Roy Kahmann (1959) founded Het Hoofdbureau, a combination design studio, and advertising consultancy agency. From this company emerged the very first online photography gallery in Europe: Vintagephoto.nl (2001). Three years later, Kahmann opened an actual art gallery called HUP Gallery. In 2009 it would change its name to Kahmann Gallery, which now represents more than 30 vintage and contemporary photographers. Kahmann’s love for both design and photography also came together in GUP Magazine, the international photography magazine founded in 2005. It has been around for 17 years and is available in 30 countries. Kahmann’s latest initiatives are Haute Photographie and Haute Auctions. Haute Auctions is the new destination for international collectors to buy and sell important twentieth-century and contemporary works. An auction platform that is using video viewing for an ultimate experience. Haute Photographie (since 2016) is a photography fair with a concept unlike any other. The fair with no booths is centered around a group exhibition and features works by the grand masters from the history of photography as well as the youngest and most exciting young talents working with the medium today. A boutique photography fair with the allure of a museum. In 2022 for the first time in Amsterdam. Email: info@kahmanngallery.com, Mobile: +31620 629 658

Sjors Hermans

"Hi, my name is Sjors and since January I started working at Kahmann Gallery. At the same time I am finishing my master's degree in Art, Market and Conaisseur, therefore I am not there 1 day a week, usually on Wednesday. Before I came to Kahmann I studied art history and worked at an auction house, gave guided tours and did an internship at the PAN Art Fair. I am increasingly finding my way in the art world and so far have focused mainly on contemporary art in the various art markets. About photography I am sure I will learn the ins and outs in the coming time and I am looking forward to that immensely, as well as getting to know everyone, so hopefully see you soon!"
